Vermont Castings Vigilant Coal Burning Stove. My son bought this stove for his cabin in 2007 and used it for about a year or a year and a half before he moved and I inherited the stove. I already have a wood burning stove, so I have never used this one. Basically I have been babysitting it since 2009, but am planning to downsize so it has to go. I'm sorry that I cannot give you first hand information on how it works but a google search produced the following information: It seems to be a discontinued model, advertised to heat up to 2,000 square feet for 18 hours of burn time. It says it has an automatic thermostat but I couldn't see what that might be, so no guarantees that mine actually has one. You load the coal from the top. It has a grate system for shaking the ashes down into an ash pan. You'll have to come and pick it up in Myersville, Maryland, as I obviously cannot mail it to you. And if you come and see that important stuff is missing (I THINK I have all the required parts except a smoke pipe), I won't hold you to the sale.
