    Description

    Rookwood Pottery Vase with six hand decorated fish (grey in color) on gradient background ranging from blue at the vase base to rosy pink at the top of the vase.  This is a vellum glazed vase with impressed Rookwood Pottery mark with 14 flame marks and 'XIII' for year date 1913 on bottom of vase.  The shape designation is also impressed for '1343' as well as the letter 'V' for the vellum glaze of the vase. Also impressed are the artist initials 'E. T. H.' for Edward Timothy Hurley who was an artist/decorator at Rookwood from 1896 until 1948, best known for his vellum glazed vases and plaques.
    This vase is 5" in height and 5" in diameter at the shoulder.
