ROOKWOOD POTTERY IRIS GLAZE 9" TALL VASE BY SARA SAX 1906

Description

Dated 1906, this beautiful Rookwood Pottery Iris glaze vase, decorated by Sara Sax, stands 9" tall and is 5" in diameter. Finished in a cream colored glaze that blends down into a bluish-purple glaze, it is decorated with white clusters of flowers, delicate feathery leaves, and long green stems. In excellent condition, there are no chips, cracks, hairlines or repairs. As pictured, there is light, fine crazing all around. Marked on the base with the Rookwood Pottery "RP" factory logo, VI, indecipherable shape number, Ms. Sax's cipher, and "W". This is a lovely Arts and Crafts period style Rookwood vase that will make a very nice addition to your pottery collection. If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Gerr Antiques.
