    Description

    DESCRIPTION:
Antique Rare Rookwood Art Pottery Standard Glaze Pitcher in the form of a One Eyed Bulldog with a patch over his left eye.  This charming Bulldog Pitcher could also be the called Junkyard Dog.  A Pitcher just like this one just sold at auction for 00. plus 30% Buyers premium
.  That Pitcher was attributed to Anna Marie Valentien as the designer.  That Pitcher was to celebrate the Cincinnati Centennial of 1888 and was dated on the collar.   I could not find any other Bulldog Pitchers that existed by Rookwood other than the one I am listing and the one that sold at auction.  Maybe this one could have been a prototype?  If anyone has any other information, it would be greatly appreciated.
The Condition is Excellent with no faults to report.  This Pitcher is glazed on the bottom and I could not make out any marks, see photos.
A truly great addition to your collection.  All photos were taken with and without the flash.  The auction information and photo of the one that sold is listed below.
