Akamu (Igbo), Ogi (Yoruba) or Pap is a Nigerian corn meal made from dry white or yellow corn and also from brown guinea corn. It has a distinctive sour taste from the fermentation process that is unique to it. It is kind of similar to the Southern loved 'Grits' except that grits is grainy and not sour.
Ogi is a staple diet in Africa and popular during the Ramadan season. A nutritious meal which is a good source of carbohydrate, B vitamins (pantothenic acid – B5, niacin – B3, riboflavin and thiamine – B1), folic acid, vitamins A and C, potassium, chromium, selenium, zinc, phosphorous and magnesium.
Health Benefits of Pap
Reduces risk of blood pressure because of its high potassium and zero sodium content

It can be enjoyed alone or eaten with other foods like bean cake (akara), bean pudding (moin-moin). Great with the Tasty Pot Bean Flour for Akara/Moin-moin
