    Description

You are bidding on an ANTIQUE cloak pin or Tupu. This piece would have been worn as a clasp for shawl or other article of clothing. Per my research, I believe this would be from South America - could be from Peru, Bolivia or Chile. This is silver in color - however, I have not tested this to see if it's actual silver or a mixed metal - most every other one online notes silver content. This shows a spoon shaped pin with a double headed bird/eagle etched on it. This also has a green stone in it - however, I believe this is a replacement stone per it appears newer and actually may be plastic or glass- not sure. This also has a couple of fish and other smaller spoons attached or dangling on it per a chain. Dimensions: 6-3/4" long x almost 2" wide. Weighs about 43 grams or so. Condition: shows age. Not 100% sure of age, but know these can go back to the 18th century. See pictures.
