    Description

This is an "EXTREMELY RARE" antique Heinz Soup Kitchen. It is from the 1930's - 1940's and was used in restaurants to heat Soup for customers for only 15 cents.
One of these actual units sits in the Heinz Museum- have not been able to locate any other like this one. VERY RARE!!!
You choose your Soup, and place it into one of the cup heaters on the bottom.
The cup then fits into the unit and heats the soup to near boiling in only 2 minutes!
Both timers are working and ding when the timer runs out
You can place a lightbulb in the top center about the word "soup" and it works.
The can opener is missing, possibly because of many uses, and it is cracked slightly (see picture)
Item was tested and works perfectly
The electrical part of this unit has been updated from non grounded to grounded.
The original power cord was cut off before I acquired it. That may have been done because of the possibility of it being unsafe to use.
Upon disassembly, I discovered that it was indeed unsafe.
All of those safety concerns have been corrected by replacing all questionable wires and terminals with modern components.
The plywood top banner was badly separated and has been glued back together.
The top right molding has been reproduced as closely as possible to the original one in the left
Rivets holding various parts together had failed and were replaced with the "pop" rivets you can see in the pictures
Entire unit has been gently cleaned and can be used as if it was new.
